Sitagliptin can cause pancreatitis. Stop using this medicine and call your doctor at once if you have severe pain in your upper stomach spreading to your back, nausea and vomiting, and loss of appetite.
Sitagliptin can cause a serious allergic reaction. Get emergency medical help if you have a fever, sore throat, swelling or burning in your face, skin pain, and a skin rash that spreads and causes blistering and peeling.

kidney disease (or if you are on dialysis); or
a history of pancreatitis.
